Japanese Made Tin Pot

Offering here one small and lightweight, vintage, Japanese-made tinplate pot, with thin brass bale, and an integrally attached lid.

Neatly made, weighing in at less than 3.5 ounces, and very conveniently sized, as well as a good shape for backpacking or camping, in decent serviceable condition, it could probably still be put to use on the trails today. A thin-walled pot like this heats up quickly, thus optimizing fuel use in either wood fires or a camp stove. The lid is attached to the pot with a sort of a hinged bracket.

I don't know very much about this piece, my guess about the vintage is based upon the collection from which it was purchased. Possibly a Mid-Century piece, it is only marked "JAPAN" on the bottom of the pot.
